The South Sands

For May I didn't really know where to go for part three of the twelve month challenge but was in desperate need to save money. The closest and easiest for a day trip... Bowles rocks in Tunbridge Wells, honestly can say not my favourite place to climb but joined by a friend of mine, his son and their friend that I used to teach back at XC. Didn't pull on anything hard but was fun helping Toby and Charlotte out with some cool problems and belaying them on the occasional top rope. Even I managed to get harnessed up and have a crack at the Fandango. Also worked on Nicotine Alley, a fairly nice 7a traverse which starts off really easy, drops down into some really good sloper jugs then turns into a  crimp fest further on. Was great just to get back on it after a year and spend some time coaching the kids again.
