Je suis le faible!

Part two of my challenge! This time to the mystical magical land of Fontainebleau, France. Accompanying me are some regulars from Vaux. Due to lack of funds we decided to try and make this trip as cheap as possible, renting a static caravan in La Musardiere which between four of us ended up around 150 euros for 5 days (including tunnel, and petrol), which to be honest isn't so bad considering you get a shower, comfy(ish) bed, and a kitchen!

Starting the week off with a couple of warm up routes at 95.2 and moving up onto the harder stuff. Steve, had a few routes in mind which he had he eyes set on that he tried the year before. We all had a good smash on them but none of us managed to top either of these but it gave me a chance to work out how to use the Go Pro with my phone app and try out my newly acquired helicam which as soon as it landed in the sand gave out due to clogging the gears. Later that evening we gave a go Rudeboy (7a) but failing the last move decided to end with a high on the 6c/6c+ next to it Loony tunes. To finish off the day a trip down to the local shops to pick up a s*** ton of sweet potato which we lived off for breakfast lunch and dinner for the remaining 5 days with even some left over.

Day 2 we went over to Bas Cuvier for me to try and battle it out on my project from the year before of Helicopter. Going through tradition and being the first to try the dyno again, I unfortunately missed the mats....again! Although not much damage was done, the repetition of not being able to hold the swing and falling off caused my ankle to take a lot of pressure and twist rather badly, but this didn't stop me getting on Carnage (7b) for the first time and the all time favorite of Marie Rose (6a/a+).

The following two days were a bit of a blur and I cant remember which place we went to which day but, the aim was to go to Isatis but manage to find ourselves as one of my other projects, Beetlejuice (7a). Unfortunately getting stuck of the stupid greasy pocket that was on it I  still haven't managed to top it but there's still chance for it next time. Other parts that were travelled to were the Cul de Chien and Rocher aux Sabot. I was looking forward to Cul de Chien as this was my first time there and was super psyched to gain another project in the Eclipse roof, but unfortunately was shot down a little by my company and had spent too long on the other roof that none of us managed to top, although Will did come close - not a massive fan of pocket pulling with a strained A1 on my middle finger.

To finish of the week with a bit of dampness we  went back to Bas Cuvier just for me to work on Carnage, Steve to work on Helicopter and another party that we met up with to get on Marie Rose. Mainly focused on spending the last hours we had on Carnage I warmed up my fingers just pulling off the moves with stacked mats. On the first couple of attempts I managed to get much further than I had gotten previously that week and kept going! Again I didn't manage to top but was amazed by hour far I did get on it and will be back for revenge soon enough!

Although I didn't top much it was great for my progression and still a fun but weird place to go to keep up the yearly April trip
